2002 540 Wagon
I get a clunk in the drivetrain when I brake heavy then hit the accelerator???

Have you crawled under the car for a look-see? Possible rubber donut on the back of the trans, or the center bearing.

I would check the transmission mounts as well as the rear subframe bushings.

mine slams into gear as well sometimes if I catch it just right going from decelerating to back on the throttle.

Being it's an auto I'm thinking it may be that rubber donut. I will need to crawl under there during the holidays.

What happens if you just mash the throttle? Same sound? Does it sound like its trying to catch gear, i.e. 1st and 2nd? Could be your trans going out...

It only does it when I'm on it, hard braking and back on it. I think it's the rubber disc in the drive train. I didnt get a chance to check it out during TG; looks like Christmas now.
