MK2 To MK3 issues

1999 540i with factory navi, had 4.3 screen and MK2 (i belive)computer,
i got a package deal on widescreen display and MK3 computer, installed it and everything seems to work fine but not getting GPS signal, i thought it was just plug and play? i simply connected the blue/pink connectors and transfered the small coax antenna connector from the trimble directly to the back of the mk3...
it shows movement (little arrow icon) but does not update location, it shows no "gps" on the top right icon, just shows the globe

i tried battery reset and nothing

any ideas??

Hi,

Could be a faulty unit.

Perhaps swap with a known working Mk3 unit to test. If that works, you know you have a faulty item, if that doesn't work, you'll need to fault find some more.
