08 535xi leaking oil?

I picked my car up at the dealer this past Friday for recall work (battery cable). The dealer said there was also a sensor that needed to be replaced and the engine was leaking oil around the oil filter. The oil level was fine when I picked it up Friday and now it reading minimal oil level. I'm guessing this is not normal, drove 300 miles since I picked it up. Calling the dealer today, but anyone else ever experience a drop in oil level this quick?

That is a pretty common issue. There should be DIY to replace the gasket for the filter housing.

Don't know your car very well but it sounds like oil pressure sensor area. I have some "seepage" in that one too, but waiting for next major repair to throw that one in. It is likely a $0.65 aluminum or copper washer that needs to be replaced. Heck for $16 just change out the whole sensor with washer if it is an '08.
