Galaxy S3 Bluetooth Connectivity Issues with 525d

Hi

I have 2004 year made BMW 525d. I bought Samsung Galaxy S3 recently and I am having Bluetooth connectivity issues with my car's hands free. It easily gets paired with the car's Bluetooth but keeps disconnecting. Also, the car's on board computer (OBC) screen doesn't show the contact list either. I have to manually use the mobile to make the calls rather than selecting from my car's OBC.

I had iPhone for last four years and never had any problem at all.

Has somebody experienced the same? I am unsure if the prob is with the mobile or the firmware of my car. My cousin has Mercedes CLS 2006 n his galaxy S3 seems to work fine in his car.

Any ideas / thoughts ????

Same problem here. 2005 545i

2006 525xi that has the latest software and zero problems with the Galaxy IIIs. No problems dropping calls, the contact list pulled in seamlessly. I have not had any issues where sometimes it doesn't pair with the car(had this happen fairly often with the old Moto Droid).

I suspected this might happen, went through this process whenever the iPhone first came out, a subsequent iDrive update cured it, looks like some of us will need another upgrade for S3 to work properly. I have to pair it every time I get into the car, a real pain.

What version of software are you running on the 525 ?
