CIC Nav Updates Available

One interesting observation, the update went fine, but now in Options -> Navi version there's nothing, just blank screen. I wonder if my CIC (built 12/09) firmware better be updated.

It takes a while before it shows the version number for me.

Agree. I'd noticed the same thing. I did the upgrade and went to check the version. Nothing there...went back later in the day when I drove for awhile and it was there...No idea what the sequence is that populates that display field,but "it takes awhile".

Same here, checked today and info was there.

This is surely OT, but as it is being subscribed by 'Nav interested people', I thought it would be worth mentioning.

I'm currently in Germany on business, driving a 5 series (3.0d) wagon around. The navigastion implementation here is definitely superior to the usa. The level of instruction, nuanced directions to 'move over', get in this lane, turn, etc, etc is more detailed than USA. Particularly nice is the integration of speed into the HUD. (especially nice on the autobahn were youd rather concentrate on road and cars.)

So while teleatlas sucks in the US, I can see why BMWAG went with them here...
