I got 3 out of 10 too. And all my right answers were not "directly" a pilot questions.

"How smart are you?" seems a bit unfitting here. Most of this is information a general person in the public doesn't have. Being smart has little to do with knowing these answers.
That being said, which test did you pick? I read the first few questions and decided this isn't worth my time, though I'm a little interested now what classification the air space over Fort Worth Meacham airport is.

They give you the right answers for all the 10 after you finish the exam. So you need to finish it if you want to know the classification of the air space over FWM...

You guys are no fun. If you had cut & paste your right answers here it would have been a much more interesting thread.

I got 3 out of 10 also. We all shouldn't fly a plane, have to pay to ride in one.

Got 5 out of 10. But I think I got easier questions (what is the cause of most preventable accidents? A: human error, etc). Pretty interesting given that there is expected to be a shortage of pilots in the coming years. New FAA guidelines are going into effect next summer requiring a ton more experience for pilots on commercial airlines.

My 3 out of 10 made me feel sad and stupid. 6 or more and I would have felt that there was hope which would have made me happy even though 60% is considered a "D" grade.

To get into one you mash a rudder peddle to the floor just before the airplane stalls, thus increasing the angle of attack on one wing and decreasing it on the other. |

I got 8 out of ten. Mostly luck but about 50% of them were logical so only needed luck on the other 3. I didn't know there was a time limit but it didn't seem to take too long. Maybe 5 minutes? Not a pilot and never played one on TV either..LOL
Disclaimer - When I was a kid (10-14) I spent a LOT of time building and flying RC models so that probably had something to do with the better-than-average results. PS - Took it again so that I could see the time and only got 4 right in 6 minutes... I feel more HUMAN now...LOL

Taking whatever knowledge you have and applying it to the process of a multiple choice exam is the key. I did a private pilot test and got 5/10. One question about altimeter calibration; one question about what to do if an engine overheats during climb; how to best view at night (neuro biology)..one question was technical- about approach glideslopes, but given the choices there was an obvious wrong answer. But I'll agree that some of it is just regulations with nomenclature that makes no sense to someone not trained.... although I will admit that I have spent time at the airliners.net forums....
