Tires for the 20" Sport Package

My X5 has the 20" sport wheels and the Dunlap tires that came with it did not last long at all to say the least, so I then opted for the Bridgestones but these are not much better and they are very noisy to say the least. Are there any other options out there for tires?
And do I really have to run the runflats?

You don't have to use runflats - in fact you will find that the ride with 'normal' tires is much better. I would say that 75% of 3 series guys ditch them - some immediately. Your problem is going to be that you have no spare. You can buy the spare (Tischer) or a 'mobility kit' which has a compressor, some tire goo etc to get you out of trouble.

Thanks for the spare tire info. Any suggestions for tires? Or are there any threads on here that address this issue?

I will most likely be replacing the Dunlops on my 13 X5d with Nitto Motivos next month. Continental DWSs seem to be the most popular choice for the 20s btw.

Tires for the 20" Sport Package

There many threads on this issue with these RFT , I also will be ditching these for non-RFT's. You all I'm guessing have 20's all around, because my X5 2012 has the sports package, but came with 20's in the back and 19's in the front.

20 rears and 19 front? It may have come this way but not from the factory.

The difference is, its a M-sports package 20's in the back and wider tires
19's front. This what dealer told me.

Mucho, how about some pics? I have M sport with 333 M wheels. 20s around. Curious what your setup is. As others will be also I'm sure.

Mucho-

I assure, something is wrong. I have never heard of such a thing. That would mean that your tires up front would have to 10-15mm thicker than your rears? This would be to level out the truck.

Mucho, with 20's you would have wider wheels & tires in back, but the wheels should be the same diameter (20 inches) all around.
Stock size with 20's is 315/35 20 rear and 275/40 20 front.

That dealer who sold you the car sounds like a clown to me..

Edit: Those M-Sport 19s and 20s are different looking wheels so you should be able to tell easily.
