Frayed Tension Cords, Revisited

mine are repaired, and I am not going back to ask them how they did it, but really you think they would tell me how to do it, plus I probably wont drive the car long enough to have them done again.

maybe you can purchase the cords and install yours and tell everyone how to do it, they also mention in the repairs an expanding rivet Part number 51498237075 at .31 cents

Had it done last year as a warranty repair. Maybe next year....my DIY's appear in e90post.

1) I bet my service manager would show me how to do it. My SA (not the manager) came out into the parking lot while my car was there for something else (was picking it up) and he showed me how to remove the cowling and everything necessary to get to the spark plugs, then went back in and gave me a sheet with the specs I needed to replace the plugs.

2) if cal did it, he'd share for sure. Check out his DIY on installing an LSD and misc fun suspension bits.
