EDC Yes/No

Do you guys recommend Electronic damper control ? I am building a 2013 m sport 535i

EDC is a $1000 option. DO you think its worth it or stick with standard rocker switch ?

It is a must.

Dynamic Handling, which pics up the active-anti roll bars is a bigger question. But DDC is an absolute must.

I have DDC (no Adaptive) and I'll vouch for it too.
It's subtle but it's there and worth the $1k.

Once I finally get the ACS springs I have sitting in my garage installed I think it will be perfect.

Test drive it. See if you can feel the difference.

If you can't, just get sport auto option. You will still get a toggle switch to adjust throttle, steering, shift point for only $500.

Did anyone review the passive "sport suspension" that is now delivered with the M-Sport package? How does it compare to the different EDC modes? It's hard to answer if the EDC is worth it without knowing what the option is.

From 2012 that switch is standard regardless of transmission.

I love the all the time sport suspension that comes with the MSport, but i wish i had gotten the DDC. Its always good to have options.

If there's a choice to be made I'd choose Active Roll Stabilization.

I agree, ars is great but I'm not a big fan of DDC. I prefer a well tuned passive sports suspension. DDC can give a floaty feel and a true comfort mode can compromise the sports mode since it requires long/soft springs. DDC is also more complex which makes it more expensive to replace when worn out or broken. I guess if you are the kind of driver who switches modes often it's worth it but I'm not that kind of driver. When there are are settings I select the one I like the best and keep it there more than 90% of the time.

miamiboyca, I think you did the right choice, the F10 DDC is imo not very good, at least not in the 2011 version. Comfort is floaty, Sport/Sport+ is too soft and normal is in between the two ( some members here have spent a significant amount of money on aftermarket springs from Dinan or ACS to improve the characteristics ) . Do you know if the M-sport "sports suspension" you have also come with beefier roll bars than the non M-sport cars?

If you guys want a good laugh, go lay under the rear of your F10 and look how skinny the rear sway bar is. It is literally half as thick as the Hotchkis sways I have on my E46.

I don't know. Asit was getting confirmation that it came with a sport suspension was like pulling teeth. Greg had to email the factory to confirm.

A must, and if you are going slush box, make sure and get the sport automatic transmission, as it shifts much more aggressively than the non sport.
