F10 / F11 (2011 - 2016)
The sixth generation of the BMW 5 Series Sedan (F10) was produced from 2011 - 2016 with LCI updates arriving in 2014. In the US BMW offered a hatchback 5 Series Gran Truismo (F07) and the rest of the world also go a Station Wagon/Touring version F11.

Map update

2011 BMW 528i
Just did my update today for under $100. It's real easy. Find the map on the web. For the newer cars like mine you can only update via USB card using the port in the glove box. DVD's will not work. You will need to find a activation code.
I put a 10amp battery charge on. Turned ignition on . Put flash card in . Go to nav-options and software update page pops up in 15-60 sec. Enter activation code, about 50mins to install.
updated to 2013 1A North American Premium.
