in California the front plate !!!

despite its a brand new I was planning to avoid putting a front plate but the dealer has a front plate with their Logo holed @ the front bumper !!!!
I hate this !!!

I tried removing it I found 4 holes !!! ended up by putting the BMW black plate from my old E60 slight better !!!

This varies by dealer here in SoCal from my experience. Some dealers will drill the front on every vehicle, they want zero liability despite the waiver form they make you sign. The dealer I bought it from seems to drill on dealer stock but if you ordered the vehicle, they don't do it. Mine came without the front plate mounted. Funny thing was my CA refused to drill and told me to just go without it for as long as I can.

It's been over two months since we had our F10 and we left the dealer sticker with the temp license on the windshield. I heard this helps a bit from the front plate ticket. I hope so. The feedback I got here is that in Cali, you just pay the higher fee and not fix it. At least you don't have to worry about getting a ticket, when and where.

When I bought my car from BMW of Riverside I told my CA that I didn't want the front plate mount installed in my car, as soon as the car arrived at the dealer he left a note on the windshield and no one touched my car. I drove close to a year with no front plate and never got a ticket.

I had the front plate put on (since I got several unattended fix it tickets on my prior car) and actually had to move it over an inch (it was off center and I have OCD) so I probably have 4 holes on the poor thing too (didn't want to look)

I hate the things too however, the Red Light camera operators demand it be on (for proper ticketing purposes) and law enforcement will act accordingly, so be warned. It's just another reason to pull you over and find your blunts and weapons.

It's a roll of the dice, I drove the car for 2years and never got pulled over. My GF took it for a weekend and got ding for the plate and for the tints.
