Coding the Mode Button

In using the mode button on the steering wheel it will toggle between your last 2 choices, that is, AM to CD or FM to iPod, but not through all the options. (At least that is my experience). That seems unusual. I wonder if this can be coded so that is scrolls through all the choices...my 2007 3 Series does that.
