Paris drop off location adds one extra month
Heads up! Not sure if this is true across the board, but just noticed that after dropping my car in Paris on October 12th, it got loaded to the Porgy on November 14th. ETA: November 29th at NY port. Seriously?!

We dropped in Munich on October 30th and we are on Porgy too.

I dropped off in Paris. It was 45 days from drop off to re-delivery in OKC. I don't think a Munich drop off would have been much better in my case. However, I am surprised that it took your car a month and two days to get on a ship. I wouldn't assume that a Paris drop off is slower across the board. There are too many variables in the process that can influence a +/- of 10 days, regardless of drop off city.

You should have been on a boat on nov 1 at the latest. Clearly the hurricane probably screwed up the schedule. I dropped of in Paris on oct 3 and missed the oct 7 boat but got the oct 21 boat to california so it is all luck of the draw.

A couple of us dropped off in Paris earlier in October and it took 2 weeks to get on the boat. Paris tends to be the slowest, but 4 weeks is a bit much.

I think it is just luck of the draw and how you match up with the shipping schedules. I dropped off in Munich on Sept 27th and it took six weeks for the car to US - three weeks in Germany waiting for the boat. Finally got my car on Nov 17th. In general, BMW tells us six to eight weeks and that is generally what it takes......some just get lucky and hit the transport schedules just right. Good luck!
