did my transmission just go out?
Hi all, I'm a newbie here on the forums, and I'm also a new bmw owner. So I bought an automatic 2001 325i with 125K on it a few days ago and I was driving yesterday morning whenbad things happeneed. I was accelerating when suddenly my tachometer red-lined, and it acted like it got put in neutral. I stopped put in reverse, sport mode, drive, etc, and it refused to move. I had to call a friend to help me move it off the road, pushed it into someone's driveway, where it's still sitting. This morning, I took an OBD II reader over, and read trouble code P0720 from it, which is the output speed sensor. So I'm curious if anyone else has had any issues similar to this, and if my transmission just simply went out completely?
