To repair, modify, or part out - that is the Q. 01' X5 4.4i

Well, After putting my e38 in the grave we bought a 01' e53 4.4i also, blk on blk..Well, our teen decided to attempt to drive through a stopped car.

It seems the fenders will be okay, the following parts are already off and I'm looking for replacments. Some I've found on ebay, or chicago CL but it seems 01-03 X5's are hard to come by thus the title...I would need $9,500 to break even if sold/parted out. I figure around 2,500 to repair. Bought 10/20 - Foolishly had liability on it when I called into my agent and said call me with comprehensive by Dec. 1st.

The parts and prices are what I know of and have found so far.
If you have any of these and can get them to Chicago/Midwest for less than listed I'm listening/ Also, if someone wants to go in on a parts car with me?? or buy mine..

I have a pair of Hella xenon headlight housings for an 01 E53. The drivers side has the mounting bracket, the passenger side does not.
They're bare, meaning the ballasts and the bulbs have been removed. The leveling motors are included and work fine.
Takes about 5 minutes per light to transfer the ballasts/bulbs. They're not perfect, but they're usable and well within your budget
They have orange sidelights (no sport package) if that matters.

Forget about breaking even. What you paid for the vehicle is a sunk cost. It is now worth what it is worth regardless of what you paid.

That's painful just to look at.
