What DIY hasn't been documented?

There are so many helpful DIY guides on this forum so which DIY job has not been documented yet?

If I could buy a used M62 or M62TU I would love to rebuild one. That a pretty intense DIY. Probably month long.

I've been considering renovating the Power Steering lines from reservoir to pump with steel braided lines. I haven't found a DIY to upgrade to steel braided lines yet. Does this sound interesting?

Steering lines are very easy to replace. Anyway, it most likely documented in Bentley.
I can tell what is not documented. Manual tranny rebuild (either 5 spd or 6 spd).

My upper lines leak at the reservoir. The Rez-to-pump line looks easy. the rez-to-radiator hose confuses me as to how to detach from the radiator. do all 4 lines have to come out of the radiator to replace 1 line?

There was one, but it did dissapear, the link is not working anymore. However, here is one for Acura. Different steering rack, but probably close. And here's Cam's steering rack removal procedure. An old e30 guide.

Yes replacing the power steering lines are very easy. I am speaking about a DIY on how to fabricate/ retrofit those same lines with professionally adapted high pressure steel braided lines. I suspect this would help preserve the PS lines a lot longer, match the oil filter lines, and help correct the reservoir leak along with installing new cap o-ring. At least one of those lines is a HIGH pressure and susceptible to failure and I'm sure we will all receive better steering control as a result.

I talked to these folks in Fremont, CA and I will be working with them to ACTUALLY see if it can be done.

Doru, tried to look at a couple of diy's on your sig link; however problem I encounter, and this is common with many links/forums, is that either pics are removed from threads or links don't work at all...

I have been searching for a good diy on throttle gasket replacement on a m62 pre vanos. Reason is that I am unsure how to remove the bottom bolts...seems like all sorts of parts are in the way. TIS explains it, however it seems they skip several steps to show finished product.

Yes, I know. I saved a few that interests me directly as pdf's on my home computer, fearing that they will dissapear. Sorry, but I can't help you. I tried contacting some of the members, but I think they left the forum for good, and don't check the pm, or the other that were linked from outside sources, some web pages don't exist any longer. You can try to contact some sellers that have an active help forum for DIY-ers, like Pelican or Bavauto. They have quite a few procedures in detail, even if they are for different other model BMW's, some are similar.
