I wish it was standard that every car dash had a perfectly flat circle near the top of the dash so a GPS could be mounted perfectly without sticking it on the window or blocking any other dashboard vents, buttons, lights, etc. Some designer will get it at some point, even if there was a cap over it so it looked nice when not in use.

I have the iPhone 4 and I get text messages on my nav screen. However, I don't get email. I use the bluetooth for music all the time and it works fine. I have plugged in the iPhone into the audio jack and that works, but I like bluetooth better. Maybe your iPhone settings need adjustment?
