1997 e36 touring issues

hi. i've got some issues on my diesel bimmer which i could use some help with...

1) odometer pixels have only the top part visible, so i cant tell what does it say - it also has an airbag, so how do i take the steering wheel off?

2) cruise control takes off some of the speed when i press "+" on the lever... ?

2) radio has bad reception and some of the wires seem to be cut in the boot - how do i know how to connect the wires properly? There also seems to be an antenna holder on the side window, but no antenna is connected... Another antenna is on top of the roof at the back - is that the radio antenna?

3) the AC LCD comes on when i turn the ignition on - can that be programmed differently?

4) it also has a towing hook, but it seems that the turn-signal lights dont work on the trailer - is there a correct diagram somewhere?

5) rear wiper keeps on wiping until i press the lever the second time??

Thanks

k, now it wont start with cold weather...
did a visual check on some relays... number 1 had a weird non-oem look and was weirdly taped together with no.2?

no2 also looked a bit scratched from top...
also - the red OIL light wont come on?
perhaps some repair manuals available somewhere?

If you go back to the previous page, click on the sticky titled 'useful links for your BMW'. The first two links inside that sticky are the Bentley Repair manual, and the collected electrical schematics far many BMWs.

Keep us posted.

Yeah, well, BMW didn't have to go through the incredible hassle and expense of convincing our nanny government that a diesel touring was a good idea. I don't like it, but that's the facts. They saw a limited US market and didn't bother. I'd be happy with just an E36 touring. I wouldn't care if it was powered by hamsters.....like my 318.
