Is the storage compartment by the light switch worthwhile?

Do you think the storage compartment under the headlamp switch is worthwhile? You don't get it if you get a 320i without the premium package or if you get a 3 series with a rear view camera and park distance control.

This is little storage in the 3 series. The center armrest compartment is very shallow and small. There are no seat pockets in the front of the seats like some other manufacturers have.

If you have a 320i without the premium package, it might be possible to retrofit it but the part is about $75, which is a lot of not much storage. Maybe a coin bag or garage door opener would fit. Sunglasses are too big.

I like the storage unit....it's perfect for my sunglasses. If I was in the hunt for a 320i, I would not opt for a 328i simply for the sunglasses cubby hole...

my sunglasses fit, IN the case they come in. I would much (MUCH) rather put them there, than on some sort of visor clip on. With that being said, If I had ordered this bmw instead of taking it "off the lot" I would have had the park distance control and camera so I would not have it. I would rather have those options than the cubby, but I am glad I have the cubby instead of nothing.

Thats a nice picture wonder where you got it. I got the PDC and rear view camera as standalone options and as you can see in the picture i have that compartment. I dont know if you get the compartment if you order the driver assist package but as stand alone there it is.

It's the driver assist options that eliminate the compartment.

It's one of my favorite parts of the vehicle as I conceal carry. It's the perfect holder.

I'm with kromix on this. My car piece found a new home as soon as I found this compartment.

What do you carry that fits in there?
