Springs (parts + labor) group-buy for F10

Gentlemen -

We put together a successful group-buy for tinting our F10s. That's still going and open to all.

We are now working on putting together a group-buyfor H&R Springs around the $925 mark (parts & labor).

Specs for all models H&R Springs

They lower the car by 1.4" front and 1.3" in the back.

This thread is to gauge potential interest in the CT-NJ-NY area.

Anyone interested?

Would you guys prefer other springs to H&R?
Perhaps we could set it up so we'd have two or three different springs to choose from.

Update:

We secured a great group-buy rate from a reputable installer in NJ.

With 2 options: H&R Springs install only (your source the parts yourself) for $600 and H&R Springs + installation for &925.

Alignement is extra: $125.

We need 12 cars to trigger the group-buy rate. The installer will take a 50% non-refundable deposit to weed-out fickle prospects.

Please send me a PM with your name, email address and cell #. You'll receive the details and a password to use when calling the installer to secure your spot.

Not to be that guy, but is $600 really a good deal? I was quoted by Turner Motorsports for a little over $550 and that was for one vehicle, and their pricing on the H&R's are under $300 as well.

I in no way mean to be disrespectful, it's just that for me to drive to Jersey, I'd want to save a little more.

What car were you quoted for?

The F10's rear suspension is not an easy one to modify, for the sake of Apples to Apples is why I ask.

No worries! The quote was for my f10 550i, I had asked Turner when my brother's E60 550i was in for a coil over install. They told me the newer 5er was a bit harder so he would charge me $50-75 more for labor.

Au contraire!. Glad you posted since this is information we can use to perhaps get a better price.

Please talk to them about a group-buy pricing to see what they come up with.

Will update the thread with new pricing if we manage to get our guys lower.
We were told installing springs on the F10 is "tedious" and takes 6 hours.
The H&R springs for the F10 < $300? Is he selling them to you at cost?

Just spoke to Marco (Service Manager at Turner) and he said best he can do is $500 for labor and $290.00 for the springs, plus tax.

And he said the same thing as the shop in Jersey, he would need at least 5 dedicated members, and they would have to put up 50% so he knows they are serious.

Please let me know and I'll try my best to give the info to Marco and see what we can do.

Sorry, didn't read the last part of your post. The price of $290.00 is what is listed on their website, and they are the same price for all models.

You can also purchase your own springs (ACS/RD Sport/etc.) But it is your responsibility to make sure the parts are compatible with the proper vehicle. I don't believe Turner is a distributor for RD or ACS so I'm not sure if they would be able to get them for you per say, but they can definitely install them.

Away from this thread I also got another inquiry about ACS springs, which are admittedly very good as well.

I only proposed H&R because they sit a tad lower.

It would seem that the group-buy would get some traction if we got down to $500-550 for the install and $290-300 for the springs, whether be H&R or ACS.

Will work on this and report back asap.

Thank you for your interest and patience everyone.

I am not able to get the install down to $500. $550 seems do-able. Will report back as I keep trying.

Does anyone have a reliable source for ACS springs for the F10?
