Dice Silverline or New HeadUnit

I am looking to get iPod support in my 97 528i, however I cant decide between Dice Silverline or New HeadUnit . I would prefer the Silverline to keep OEM look, howerever I do not have a radio with RDS so no text support for songs . Also my radio is starting to lose pixles. I am currenlty looking into getting the Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD, however this is more expensive. Also what are some other good headunits between $200-$300

Radio pixel issue can be fixed by www.vdorepair.com for under $200 IIRC. Fast turn around, and exceptional customer service with lifetime warranty. The can fix your dash panel as well. Be aware the Dice Silverline is known to be "buggy" and will freeze up and have other issues (threads all over this site about the common problems). While not as feature laden, the USA Spec unit works well and is very stable. I have been using it for about three years now. There are better, but more costly options out there of course.
The USA Spec was less than $120 off Amazon when I got mine. Easy install
540 M-Sport package (Canadian market), factory Bluetooth phone integration, factory M-Audio 10" dual voice coil subs, Homelink, M5 rear stabilizer bar, M5 rear subframe braces, H&R 15mm wheel spacers, ST X (KW) coilovers, Stop Tech ss brake lines, Akebono Euro Ceramic brake pads, oem Brembo and Zimmerman rotors, Dinan Stage 1 software, Strong Strut front upper stress bar, BMP strut tower reinforcement kit, USA Spec Ipod/Iphone integration.

I am in the same boat, I have used the Silverline Duo in the past with iffy results. I got a decent amount of feedback and satic from the DICE kit. And the steering wheel controls would not always respond, and the ipod would not always connect correctly and would take a few trys to get it working.

I am going to be upgrading my HU shortly, and will most likely put my MID up for sale. the previous owner replaced it, it has no pixel issues.
