2014 BMW M5 Competition vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S Model -MotorTrend

Check out this video from Motor Trend's Head 2 Head were Jonny Lieberman is joined by Mike Shaffer and two extremely potent hyper sedans, the 2014 BMW M5 Competition and the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S Model. Between the two of them, these two mighty Germans produce 1152 horsepower and 1092 pound-feet of torque. On paper. After a day of horsing around/testing Shaffer and Lieberman grow suspicious of each twin-turbo V-8's actual output. So, they take them to the dyno gurus at K&N engineering to learn what's what. The results very well may shock and amaze you. However, they come to the conclusion that numbers are only exactly that: only numbers, and numbers only matter so much. One true test of a super sedan is how it handles a twisting stretch of tarmac. The other is how much you yearn for the car after you've walked away from it. While the results are definitive, this Head 2 Head is much closer than most.

Those two guys don't even know how to drive. Get some real drivers in there and have a do over.

The AMG-S is impressive, I'd rather have an AWD car myself, but that front mug is just so hideous...

I would try to test drive the AMG S
I would prefer the AWD over RWD
Both cars are way too heavy.

Got to get one... I've had plenty of m3, gtr, exc. owners in my car and broke down from 155 and they are all very impressed.

Also had a few people taking 30mph turns at 70+ with sport settings and they had no idea.

Cars big and you feel the weight but its deceptive as hell because it can take it all day.

I'd say if I could take a turn in the m3 at 90-100[and almost die] the m5 stock is around 70-90 easy.
