XDrive 2.8 with M-Sport 18" wheels...

Anyone have any idea what kind of tires can I expect to get on these wheels? I know they'll be "lowest-bidder" tires but I'm curious about what brand and how current owners feel about what they have. TIA
Hated the run-flats on my '05 MINI and my '08 335...dumped them early on. Have they improved at all... or will I likely feel the same punishing ride?

The ride is definitely on the firm side on the M-Sport. You'll feel every expansion joint and ever reflector. You have to test drive one to see if that's acceptable to you or not. It kind of sucks that there are so few X1's around. We had to go to 4 different dealers before we found an X1 with M-sport that we could test drive.

Mine came with Pirelli Cinturato P7. I plan on switching to winter or all season non-run flats soon and will let you know how the ride changes.

Was this with 18s or 19s? I've read the 19s get the Pirellis but the 18s get the less inspiring Goodyear Efficient Grip low rolling resistance tires.

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP are much improved over other runflats. Unfortunately, they are not available in the right fitment for the M Sport 18s. Should be some other better runflat options in a year or two. If not...I will be moving to traditional tires.

To me, the ride was firm but softer than our 128i and E90 335i LCI both with sports package.

I had the same experience finding M Sports to test drive. Turned out that Shelly BMW has a large inventory of X1s including several M Sports. Unfortunately, they all are missing the paddle shifters so they will have trouble selling them to anyone who knows beter.
