Front right wheel is knocking on BMW 1997 528i!
I want to know exactly what happened to my wheel and exactly how much I need to pay for it. Recently I hydroplaned and went up a curb hard enough to deflate both my front tires. I went up the curb on the right hand side so the front right wheel absorbed most of the impact. After getting my car towed and having new wheels instaled on it I was able to drive my car home but as I was driving, I would hear a knocking noise coming from my front right wheel. When I put the car in drive and let the car go by itself without pressing the gas, it will eventually stop; then I would have to press the gas and when that happens, the knocking noise emits. Is it the CV, ball joint, or what?

Hi,
Why not take your car to a place that has a ramp, lift it up and have a look ? It 'could' be a number of different things and/or a combination. At that point, you will know more of what it is you need to fix ! Cheers, Dennis! |
