Cruise Control

Hello all

Im driving a 530i Sport 2002.

I tried seaching for my issue with intermittment cruise control failure however im damned if i can find on this site
My problem is this , when driving along once my car heats up the cruise turns off but not always. This is a recent problem only and I have also had the dreaded ABS / ASC problem as well . This has now been repaired however after reinstalling the module the cruise system will not illuminate on the dash. Now for the weird bit
Now after saying all this, if i turn off the car and restarted 3 times in a row the cruise will start to work again.
I did beleive it was a direct related with the ABS /ASC saga yet this does not seem to be the case.

Where is the Cruise module located under the bonner /hood I cannot even find the thing. There is definately no fuse for in the glove box, it is not even listed.

The steering wheel is the M type and everything on works perfectly.

And as I said before some day it works but when it turns off you have to wait until the car cools down again before it will turn on, it then runs fine??????

It IS a related problem. The cruz control wont work if you have abs/asc problems. Cruz control gets its inputs from the speed sensors. Dont trouble-shot your cruz control problem. If your ABS/ASC is fixed you cruz will work. If youve already had your ABS mod replaced, start looking at the speed sensors. You can find troubleshooting on this fourm.

Got back my ABS module installed it everything works perfectly , ABS, Traction control and cruise fully functioning , for those people in Australia i sent it the Anthony at Specilised Automotive Electronics in North Parramatta in Sydney, it cost $363 door to door delivery.
In Australia this is a great price belive me I have put this off for 6 months and now I wonder why i did
