I have documented every single trip to BMW service for the car in painstaking detail. Have sent all that to BMW NA.

Thanks a lot for you help btw...It has made my resolve stronger.

Followup: BMW agreed to replace my car. I pretty much followed jmfan's advice and wrote courteous but firm emails. The outcome was the same as his.

BMW has earned my lifelong loyalty. I already loved their cars (both my cars are BMWs) and now the company (IMO) has behaved in a very honorable manner. What more can one ask for?

Really glad to hear it all worked out for you!

I know the buyback process is frustrating with all the uncertainty and time it takes to bring to a close, especially when youre upset about laying down really good money for a car that did not bring satisfaction.

Your result is yet another positive experience with BMWs exceptional customer service. As I have said before, I do not know many companies that stand behind their products the way BMW does.
