Dynamic Drive Question
Has anyone ever heard of the Dynamic Drive System having a filter in the oil reservoir? I found this in reading the Dynamic Drive thread by Wilson in the "Dynamic Drive pdf" section. This makes since that a hydraulic system would have a filter for a system critical, but this is the 1st I have heard of it.

I had read that thread before, it is a very good overview, as for the filter I would look in the parts manual to see if anything was identified as a first pass !

I looked under the parts list, & did not see it listed? It may be internal, requiring disassembling the reservoir if possible? I suspect years of oil oxidation, clog up the internals on the valve block. Most hydraulic systems require some type of filtration! I have one of my hoses weeping somewhere, that I can not pinpoint. I might just remove the whole system to clean & inspect. You never know what you might find! Once I have cleaned & inspected everything, I will assemble everything, then recalibrate the system.
Somehow I am going to have to motivate myself to do this! ![]() ![]()

I got around to replacing my Steering fluid reservoir today. It does have a wire screen filter in it, but I see no way to get it out. I flushed the system, & replaced the 2 bottom clamps. I will take the car for a good drive tomorrow, to see if my problem goes away. Anyone that might decide to replace this, the cap comes with the reservoir. I think the cost was 47.00 for the reservoir. I will update this thread in the morning!
