Should i buy these mirror covers or no? Voice your opinion!

Got an 07 red 335i w/sport pkg.

should i buy these? its incredible how much different color mirrors can change the look of a car. personally i like them, but would like an opinion from the community. what do you guys think?

Not bad...its a clean look. Red and CF would be a nice combo, go for it bro! I've ordered from ecstuning before and have nothing bad to say about them. Are you planning on doing any other mods?

Yes I am. After winter is over I'm getting a jb4 and some black 18 in rims for my summer tires. Might do a bit of exhaust work.

Already ordered a bms dci. Other than that, not much else.

Sounds like you've got a good start on the car, I'd suggest reading up on the Cobb AccessPort Tuner (LINK). We prefer their system as you buy it once then as you up grade your car you upgrade your tune free.

The carbon fiber mirror caps (LINK) you're looking at clip over the existing mirror (held on with the assistance of double stick tape). The finish on them is great, they are real carbon fiber, and have a quality clear/gel coat on them, this prevents yellowing or hazing over time like you'll get with some carbon fiber products.

Thanks ECS! im going to look into the cobb, but for 300 bucks less i can get the bms system with the USB. Dont know if i can really justfiy another 300 dollars.

As far as the mirrors go i will be ordering them probably in the summer when i get the rest of my stuff. I really do like them.

Also, i just ordered a set of all weather floor mats from you guys!

I view decorative/non-functional carbon fiber as the grown-up equivalent of playing cards in banana-seat bicycle spokes.

Since the existence of carbon fiber accents I have also felt this way. What I truly wanted was an easy way to contrast the color of the mirrors with the rest of the body. If I could just paint them gloss black and easily go back to stock in a day I would. These covers are also cheaper than painting.

I think the stock mirror covers are ~$54 each, primed. Rattlecan them gloss black or see what a local bodyshop would spray them for; if you weren't picky and happy to have them shoot whatever black they had laying around I don't think it'd be a whole lot. I'm speculating though, so YMMV.

Alternately see if you can find covers off a wrecked black E90 car. Just wanting gloss black vs. colormatching to your paint makes it a lot easier.

Just to toss another thought out there with the new stock covers idea in mind. You could go with new stock covers (LINK) then cover them in vinyl (LINK), brushed aluminum caps might look kinda cool, never know till you give it a shot! We have 3M vinyl avaible in a hand full of styles; carbon fiber wet, carbon fiber dry, brushed aluminum, brushed titanium, gloss black, matte black, and textured black.
