Check Engine Light Resolved with DISA Valve Replacement
Wanted to provide the group an update on my findings related to SES light. Off and on for the last 12 months, I've had issues with the light coming on and then clearing itself. For the last 3 months the light has been on consistently, never clearing itself.
The codes were: P313 - Misfire detected with low fuel, P171 - Bank 1 system too lean, and P174 - Bank 2 system too lean. After reading up on the DISA valve issues, I inspected mine. However, the flap appeared to be working properly, and I was unable to detect an issue with it. I continued to look for possible leaks in other hoses, but never could find anything. Last week I went ahead and ordered the replacement DISA valve, sure enough within a few days of running my SES light is cleared, and I can tell the engine runs slightly smoother at idle. The idle before wasn't too bad, but it would pulsate sometimes up and down around the idle RPM. |

Pesky little thing, that DISA valve. Glad you solved your problem.
