Buzzing sounds

Got a 2013 X1 and pretty much every time I open the car door after its been parked overnight the stars making various buzzing noises, as if some electric motor is running (kind of similar to the sounds when I'm moving the power seats but louder). The car will make these songs for some 10-20 seconds and stop. And the same thing happens when I park the car after a short drive and get out of it.

Anyone have any ideas on what those sounds are?

is it just the ECU? Does it still make noise when you lock the doors?

No, just when I open the doors after it's been parked for a while or after turning off the engine after driving.

It sounds like it's coming from the underside of the car.

Should just be the fuel pump, but 10-20 seconds seems like a very long time. I think mine only goes for a couple of seconds.

EDIT: could also be Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage test:

That would be appropriate given when I hear the sound as well as the location is coming from.

It hasn't thrown any faults but would be easy enough to test.

Mine does the same. Fuel system for sure.
Some other sounds I've noticed:
1. Battery area has a fan. Only kicks on for really hot days though.
2. Sounds of (what I think are) air vents to the cabin closing/adjusting after you shut the car off. (my truck does this too)

Just replicated the sound twice. Opened the driver door and heard it toward the rear. Had thought maybe it was the hatch lock mechanism. Opened the hatch and heard the same sound from underneath the passenger side.

Have also heard various fans and servos. Figure the car is smarter than I.

Yeah I tried to listen to it and I realized that there are several places it's coming from.

I realise the car is smart, I'm just not used to cars "thinking" this much... Lol

Nowhere near as bad as the buzzing you hear when you shut the ignition on an E36.

Lol I'll have to take your word for it.

I'm guessing it's not a sign of imminent problems but normal noise?

On an E36 I read somewhere it was related to the automatic climate control system. On an E84 it sounds more electronic, but still sensor related.

I hear the same humming/pumping noise emanating from the rear driver's wheel well. That's where the unlock beep comes from as well. My research indicates it's the fuel pump priming up.
What I'm wondering about though is the noises the car makes when you shut the engine off but leave ignition in radio mode and don't take the key out. About 3 minutes after the engine shut off there's a quiet but noticeable 'distant train horn' noise from the center console and another noise which sounds like something is moving, kind of a whir. Don't think it's the vents/heating system. Anyone ever hear this?

I hear the same sounds at about the same time.
I just assumed it was the car shutting off outside air intake into the cabin, but really have
no idea what it could be.
