Coding Safelock for cars without alarm

Hi,

there has been a lengthy discussion in the German forums that there are people running around stealing head units by smashing the small rear window and then unlocking the whole car by just pulling the door handle.

There seems to be a different behaviour depending whether you have built in alarm or not. Since AFAIK alarm is standard in the US, I would need someone without alarm and maybe also looking for this feature to double confirm.

I looked through my CAF files and found the following option:

CAS 3002 CLM MANTRAOFF

It seem like activating this option would switch off the ManTra fail save - where I thought ManTra was for ManTrapped.

After coding this option I was not able to unlock my car by pulling the door handle through my open window when I locked the car from the outside.

Any would like to confirm...

Thanks,

Frank
