iPhone 5 and Y cable

So I've got my iphone 5 on order. I currently use an iphone 4 in my '12 328i and I don't have BMW apps or BMW assist. I can still use my current iphone 4 and play pandora, ipod music etc. with a readout on my idrive screen. I can also charge my current phone with the Y cable.

So I've searched here but can't find the answer. Does a new Y cable (lightning) exist? If not, how (if at all) will I be able to charge my iphone 5 and/or listen to music with iphone 5 in my car?

I don't think a lightning Y cable exists yet. Get this lighting to 30 pin cable: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD...n-adapter-02-m

Use it with the Y cable that came with the BMW.

You will get more length if you buy the adapter cable over just the adapter.

oh man...I didn't get the lightning to 30 pin cable adapter...just got the adapter...back to the apple store I go.
