528i no more ...

After a few years of ownership, I have decided that a 1998 528i is NOT the car for me. Too much of a money pit. So I traded it for a 2014 *** (not going to say what so I don't have to deal with the harassment) ...

BUT ...

I have some "stuff" that could use a good home ...

I have the Bentley manuals, some oil filters, new flex disc parts ...

If someone NEEDS them, I will send to you for free ... they are for a 1998 with a build date of 12/1997.

Thanks to everyone here (especially CN90 and bluebee) for all the help you have provided.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the BMW. But I poured a lot of money into it when I got it. Following CN90's instructions, I rebuilt the cooling system, and replaced the front and rear suspension. But facing having to replace/rebuild the transmission, the fact that I cannot find decent 15" tires so wanting to upgrade to 17" rims, the interior plastic starting to break do to age, I didn't feel the need to continue ti have to FIX things.

So, I bought a 2014 Kia Soul. Rides nice, seems to have more interior space (at least for me, the driver), 10 year/100,000 mile warranty, I am good for a while.

I know I am going to get a lot of grief, but that's the way it is. If I had the financial fortitude, I'd buy I BMW. But the SOUL fit my budget.

I'll take the flex disc if it's for an auto.

Congrats on the Soul, good choice! Transported my roadbike whole without a fuss when I rented it.

You can't really trash talk a 10year/100k mile warranty.
