Hi, All. Hows my car price for a 2004 Z4?

Hi,
I am new for BMW community, I went to dealer today try to buy a used BMW Z4, it is 2004 model, 3.0i with 6speed manual. It has 54000 miles on it. I am living in Los Angeles area, the dealer ask 18400 for outdoor price (include tax and others), it is a good price or not? It had three owners.

Doesn't sound BAD...but take a look around, price compare on autotrader, yahoo autos, cars dot com. You'll get a better feel...

Yea, it is little below the KBB kbb private party price. But when I test drive it, I saw it has airbag lights on and Tire Pressure Warning Light on, then dealer fixed it, and says it is no problem. I am worried about it.

I'd be cautious about the airbag light and would ask for the error code. If the problem that caused the airbag light to come on is not fixed, the light will pop-back up and you'd be stuck with the cost to fix it. Are you buying from a BMW dealership?

Yes, I am try to buy it from a BMW dealer, also I noticed the left side rearview mirror is yellow, and the interior rearview mirror is brown, the right side rearview mirror is blue, I drove some BMW before, but I never seen these color of mirrors except the blue one, I think the left side and the center mirror is broken, before I buy this z4 can I ask dealer to fix it without any of my cost?

It doesn't hurt to ask the dealership to fix these items, if this is the Z4 that you want. I don't know a whole lot about Z4s so I can't comment on what to look for. But if you're not in a hurry, I recommend reading up on issues to look for prior to buying so you're not rushed into buying something you may regret later... being in Los Angeles, there are lots of Z4s (or maybe even Z3s) to go after.

I found other 2004 z4 3.0i manual sold buy a local used car dealer 77000 miles as for 16995. Maybe I should check out that one? Anything I need to look for before I buy the car?

I think you can do better. Check with blue book for fair car values. Good luck.

The airbag light might be the seat sensor on the passenger side. This is a known issue. When I had my 2004, they changed the steering wheel airbag, the seat belt mechanism on the passenger side before they got to the seat sensor. If you buy it, make sure they warranty the airbag issue for at least 6 months. Each time, the airbag light would be reset, only to trip again later on. Seemed to happen when my wife was in the passenger seat. I would ask if the seat sensor has been changed.
