? About rear lower control arms

I was told by a shop that the eccentric bolts in BOTH of my lower control arms on my 01 X5 3.0 are stripped. That they cannot get my alignment correct due to this. So I have just purchased both bolts and lower control arms. I have been reading through the forums and I see that the upper control arms are what controls the camber mostly. My rear tires are leaning in and going to ruin them. So before I put on $800+ in parts I do not need I'm looking for some advice. I do understand that if in fact the eccentric bolts are stripped I won't be able to set them. Is that a common problem. Or is the shop I took it to possibly looking for money and just telling me this. I am a girl. What they didn't know is I repair everything I possibly can myself. : )

yea sounds a bit fishy
a shop that cant pull these 5 dollar bolts off
and proceed with an alignment
wont be doing 'anything' on my car

the stance you speak of is NATURAL to the x5 E53
it should have a knock kneed tilt to it
or negative camber
how pronounced yours is i do not know

i dont know the history on x5 eccentric bolts
but looking at the schematic on realoem
seems replacement is simple enough.
bolts number 7 an 18
