It's just kind of like me riding with you in the golf cart and complaining about the sport... You don't like it cool - but why come and shlt on other people who do like it?

By the way I quite enjoy golf ...

I hate carbon fiber. I like the other types of wraps. I never liked the look of carbon fiber like as hoods and stuff.

thanks guys for all the comments good & bad, can't knock either, it's a forum. but yea, i know carbon fiber is not for everyone, but i do use it 80% of the time, that's what the guys want. it was also the original vinyl wrap that people wanted. now there are lots of different types of vinyl out there, i really think the brushed metal looking vinyls will be the next big hit. also you guys would be suprised by how many different wood grain type vinyl's are out there! theres anything from birds eye maple, to dark deep black matte looking woods, to granite looking stuff, to leather/snake skin, chameleon, etc...

1 thing i think most of us can all agree on is yes, wood is always gonna be a classy look, but i think most of us can agree that specifically the e39 wood trims are pretty dated now and the color is just not as rich as b4 & the shade of wood is a bit dated... most of the older bmw's i've done work on the wood is pretty chipped, cracked, some pieces are darker than another, the clear coat is a bit tarnished/faded/oxidized. so a wrap really freshens up the interior for not too much $$.

you guys gotta check out all the good stuff from 3M DI-NOC series vinyl! not made for wrapping car parts but it works great! originally made for architectural surfaces but i've been using this stuff for the last 3yrs on and off and it is great! one of the widest ranges of finishes, and high quality 3m stickiness, one of the best!

so someone asked me about some gold/bronze/copper type colors so i figure why not post for everyone to see! you will see some are matte, brushed, and glossy with some pearl to them.

3M DI-NOC SERIES VINYL, COMES IN 4' WIDTHS, also BEST adhesive, made for wrapping walls and stuff, thicker material, more complex to work with around really curvy stuff:








ORACAL 970RA SERIES VINYL, COMES IN 5' WIDTHS, very good adhesive, made for car wrapping stuff like this, a little thicker than 3m 1080, but not as thick as DI-NOC, a little harder to work around curvy stuff:

AVERY SUPREME SERIES VINYL, COMES IN 5' WIDTHS, haven't used this yet, made for car wrapping stuff like this, heard it's very thin, easy to stretch, and supposed to work very well on curvy stuff


HEXIS HX30000 SERIES VINYL, COMES IN 52" WIDTHS, not that great adhesive, made for car wrapping stuff like this, stretches well, but the adhesive & memory in the material makes it wanna shrink back on rounded edges. i would only prefer to use this on very flat surfaces.

I just can't stand it when people cut someone down on the internet for something as unoffending as offering a service. Here is Houston people are asking 300 to wrap my roof in gloss black. And I'm supplying the matterial. Why is it so expensive? IS that how much you would charge someone to do a roof rap? I watched u tube videos and it looks like it can be done in less than an hour very easily.
