FM radio problems... Weird

My 530i's idrive radio is very staticky and cuts in and out bad. Almost like there is no antenna (at least that's what it sounds like). So much so I actually stopped the car and looked at my roof to make sure the neighbors kids didn't rip it off. The cd sounds perfect. It's only on the radio. Is it possible that the antenna plug in the back of the idrive worked itself loose and is coming out or is it a more serious software problem?

The radio antenna is actually the rear window defroster grid. Mine has a problem also. Whenever I turn on the rear window defroster, I loose reception on the radio. BMW states the entire rear glass needs to be replaced. I can deal with it for now as I simply play music through the USB when I use the defroster.
CPO will not pay to replace the glass. Should the glass become broken one day, then insurance will cover it.

How is the range on your key fob? Are you able to lock/unlock from distance?

Diversity Amplifier may be the culprit.

Actually, I find I have to be fairly close to the car to unlock. Probably within 15- 20 feet or so.

Is there away I can test this before replacing it to ensure this is the problem?

Not sure how you can test it but my radio gets static whenever the brakes are pressed!
