I went to the dealer today this what quote they give me was $55600 + NJ tax3989.68+reg/title fee $627.60+document fee $398+dealer wash $95 total $60619.05

For starters, do you mean a 528 or a 535, there are no 2013 525.

Go to bmwconfig.com and figure out your invoice price and post it.
Is the 55,600 before incentives or after? Did they even mention incentives?
What is dealer wash for $95?
Are you financing or leasing? With BMWFS or with other financing?

So that $1,500 over invoice INCLUDES the $1k or no?

If no, then you're getting robbed.

If yes, you're getting, well, something less pleasant than robbed.

Magic formula:

BMWCONFIG invoice price + $500 dealer profit + dealer doc fees +tax - all incentives = price paid.

BTW, that $95 "wash fee" is pure BS.

Provide all the details, then folks will provide input. I agree you are paring way to much. After everything you should be well below invoice price.

I have never heard of a wash fee. Walk away from that dealer. My father is looking at getting that same exact car too

I would go for the 535. This is a pretty large, heavy car. I'll be clean up front, I haven't driven the 528.

I have. It isn't slow. It's not fast, and you'll be beaten by a V6 Camry or Accord, but it isn't slow either.

Say no to 4 cylinders!

Just ordered a 528i xdrive and came in $500 under invoice plus a $1500 USAA rebate. Only dealer extras were $180 training and $250 MACO fees.

So that's $500 below invoice before or after USAA rebate?

MSRP - $61070
Sale price including MACO, Destination and training service was $56085, $500 less than listed invoice. Then they applied the $1500 USAA credit since it was more than the $1000 BMW Holiday cash. Effectively the sale price was $2000 below invoice. Total price out the door with taxes and tags was $58506.

I purchased my 2012 528 last month (with 10 miles on the od). The MSRP was $61k and I was able to get $10k off the price.

Never figure your price from MSRP, always from invoice.

Also for bran new 2012 they were giving great deals, so no surprise that it affected the used cars as well.
