94 318I... confused and need help! sometimes jerky??

Hello guys. I have a 318I that needs your help and attention!!

Problem #1: at various times the car tends to drive with a jerky motion. When entering first or second gear (assuming perfectly engaged, but nonetheless) it starts to jerk even when cruising around 15mph on 2nd with the clutch fully off and gear engaged. Then there will be time of the days it doesn't that do that?!

My conclusion: Spark plugs could be the reason it is spitting? Clutch wear?

Problem #2: my dash light and headlight oscillates.

My conclusion: worn battery (but was told fairly new). Worn out fuse?

Thank you for reading and those who helps I am greatly appreciated for your effort! =]

GO to a big box store, and have them test your battery and alternator. Most places do that for free. Go from there.

Sounds to me like it could be a failing alternator or faulty ground. Like Mr. Canada said, go have the alternator tested by AutoZone or something similar. They'll do it free.

PS, awesome user name. You in Campbell CA?

I live just north of Campbell off Winchester. If you're free this Saturday I'd suggest coming to this, and meeting some cool folks, myself included.
