PCV breather hose
1995 525i
Where the heck does this thing end at? Trying to replace the hose, and I can't figure out where it goes. Not the one that connects to the intake, the other, smaller one. If someone could break it down in lament terms for me I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the help!

Hi dude,
This was difficult to video, but I found an easy way to show you the second connecting point. Stand on the left side of the car with the intake manifold and throttle body infront of you. Look towards the spaces between the 3rd and 4th runners. Now, look directly downwards through the first space in between the runners (closest to the horizontal portion of the plastic intake manifold and right behind the throttle body). You will be able to see a ribbed, curved hose through that. The hose curves away downwards from you towards the engine (it looks like a question mark when you hold it up but you won't be able to tell that when you look at it installed under the intake manifold like that). Now, connected to the left of that hose, at the position that you can see through the first space, will be a little short probe like tube. Use your hands and feel under at about that position and you'll find it inevitably. The other end of the breather hose goes over that. You'll need to remove your intake air bellows and afm to have an easy time accessing and squeezing it onto that. You can try without that at first and see, might work. Installing this hose may also improve your idling even further. Good luck. rgds, Roberto |
