2013 X5 Premium - Good deal?

Thoughts on this deal:

Dealer offered: $2500 off plus $2250 in incentive money (54,945; 190 below invoice) for a 36 mths x 12k per year payment of $796.29 tax included with $2,228 to start which includes 1st payment dealer fee, state fees tag title and registration.

I'm usually a 5-series person and am not as knowledgeable on negotiation with X's.

Looking at this deal it seems like that is very high payment. Are you set on getting a 2013 x5 premium the best deals can be had on 2012 X5D just a recommendation. Also I assume you have loyalty?

Got him down to $750 dollars per month, inclusive of taxes.. Vehicle has to be ordered due to colors and options.

Seems high. Negotiate the price closest to invoice and THEN apply the discounts, not from the MSRP.

Came out to $2,850 below invoice.

How much are taxes? Remove them from the payment since those vary by location.

What's your money factor?

How much down?

There are lots of area where a dealer can add a little padding. You need to understand all the pieces.

the money factor across the board is .00125 as long as you qualify for the highest tier.
also the bank fee is $725 everything over that is dealer padding

from your first post to your last you mention two different invoices which one is the correct one?
what fees are you leaving due at signing?

MF works out to 0.00135.. I could not find the 0.00125 which would save $324 over 36 months. I'm fine with that. I feel it is a good deal. Of course there is always a better deal, but this took all of two emails to my preferred sales person to work out, I was able to order the car I wanted, and I do not have to do the out of state thing.

What residual are you using? I'm trying to calculate your lease using Ride With G's calculator and it isn't working out.

ok............. based on what I see you are paying $2,250 OVER INVOICE........! the incentives are rebates they have to print on the contract as such, it is not like a OPTION CREDIT that comes off the sales price.... the rebate can be used as cap cost reduction or your whole drive off............ Take the "incentives" out of equation, what is your final sales price EXCLUSIVE OF TAX OR DMV FEES........ that is what you want to know.

We can move numbers around the spreadsheet all night. Frankly, I don't care how the CA played the numbers on his end, because my parameters were met:

X5 Premium, Convenience package, Platinum metallic, Cinnamon Brown
No more than $750 a month payment inclusive of tax ($705 exclusive of tax; I pay 6% tax)
No down payment
No more than $2,250 in drive-offs (includes first months payment)
36 months @ 12k miles a month

So you don't care about getting reamed compared to other deals?

You are the perfect customer. We used to try to convince people it didn't matter how much money we made as long as you got the payment you wanted. We loved those customers. Made our months or sure.

I think what Greg was telling you was he could have probably saved you around 2k which would have got your payments under 700 including tax. Oh well.

The OP is being a fool.. "custom ordered car"... what a joke. We ALL are ordering these 'custom'.

When Greg takes his time to point this out, and gets a hostile response, you kind of get annoyed

Hostile? I simply asked where are the other deals? No one has yet to point one out. If someone would come around and say, "here are my numbers for my deal, which is lower" then I would apologize and point out that I am incorrect.

Frankly it sounds pretty hostile to me. Maybe it's not what you intended, but it's how it comes across. I don't want to speak for GP but I think he's trying to tell you that he does better deals and maybe rather than saying you don't care, you should asking for details.

When a sponsor reaches out, simply to help you on your deal with someone else the first thing to say is thank you.

For my custom ordered - $250 over invoice (before all incentives), buy rate .00125, $725 acq. fee. 39 month/10K. (39 month lease works better for me than the 36 month lease).

2 emails & 1 phone call from my CA to accept my offer of $250 over invoice. First email, CA gave me full disclosure, line-by-line of the lease terms, lease computation & due @ signing.
