Old fashion shifter is so... old fashioned...
Nothing like F10's electronic one.... Plus... station wagon... WTF...? Why would anyone need 300km/h top speed and 500 HP with a family in the back seat and full luggage? |

Wagons rule. If you don't get them, oh well. Some of us do.
Looks pretty good.....wonder how it drives. But with Quattro, it'll be ridiculously fast. Oh, and Car and driver will want to have sex with it.

I agree, wagons are nice. This one looks fantastic!

No no, of course they rock. I agree. What I was saying is, I thought we were looking at a sports car (sedan) and then from the second pic it appeared to be a wagon. Then I simply didn't get why put a monster engine in a SW. SW owners typically cruise with a tonne of cargo in the back, so doing 250 kmh+ is probably not that great of an idea. I just thought it's way overpowered for a SW. Sedan... sure.

I agree. Everyone has left the US wagon market. I really liked the old V70R
Of course, they'll make a sedan for those who don't like wagons. I think an M5 wagon will be made for Europe as well.

E60 M5 came in wagon form in Europe. All RS6s have come in wagon form. E63 AMG comes in a wagon form here in the US also

Oh, OK, did not know that. BUT, the concept is weird if you ask me. It's kinda like having a Suburban (since SWs are not that common here) with a 1000 HP engine. Even X5M sounds a bit weird IMO. I've driven an X5 35i for 3 days and loved it, sure, but would I do 180kmh+ on a highway or need even more ripping acceleration in something that large? Nope. SW also seems more of a cruiser vehicle than a racing car IMO, is all... Especially when you load it with stuff as I said before (and I presume one would load a tonne of it if they bought a SW to begin with).

I owned a tuned V70 R with 350 HP and AWD. Had it been a manual, I'd still own it. It was actually better balanced than the S60R and therefore had better traction. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sonic Blue goodness...

^ My favorite color. And it had the awesome orange/brown leather seats. Plus the cool looking manual shift gate. Probably the coolest Volvo to come out in a while

I am pretty sure those numbers are grossly underrated. Its like the new trend is to develop a 600hp car and then say it only makes 400hp so it makes the competition look bad when that "400hp" car can put out better figures than your 400hp car.
I'm a big fan of Audi RS models and this thing looks hot. My problem is still that damn old school flip up nav screen. If they brought this thing here for under 100K i would buy it but chances are slim to none. Alan

Loving it.
I really like how Audi RS isn't as "disco" as BMW's M from an aesthetics perspective.

Did you mean "in person than in photos"?
I didn't quite get that.

Never been a fan of any wagon aesthetically, but in sedan form that will be impressive. Love the interior.

Trust the Audifanboy to introduce us the new RS6
![]() My bets are that it will still be an understeering, front heavy car with steering feel worse than the F10 (since they haven't solve their perennial weaknesses in the 2013 S8); but yes, faster than the M5 in the straights

SW logic:
It's really nice to haul ass whenever you want to, and your bike will actually fit in the back without much contortion and luck... I like it, but am skeptical about Audi's reliability. |

You mean the same brand that has better than BMW for the last couple years?
