Rear license plate fastener help!

So I am getting read to pick up my car from the detailer today and I realized I need some licenses plate screws and maybe a generic black license plate frame. I decided to look at a photo of the rear of my car. I then realized then I told the dealer not to screw the license plate into the car or anything into the car (I was referring to the front bumper) they also left the rear untouched.

So I am left with what you see in the photo. For the immediate use of car I decided to go pick up 3M double sided tape to attach the plate to the car (hope it sticks to the opti-coat!) as well as some velcro and will attach the soft part of the velcro to the plate so it acts as cushion for any bumps I hit as to prevent any scratching but for the long run what the heck do I do? I assume there is some sort of metal plate I must buy and screw to the car? Any help on what I need to get (OEM part?) and do would be appreciated. I guess the dealer listened to me a little to well when I said do not screw anything into the car!

Did you check in the auto parts store? They should have a universal rear plate mount. That's why I told my dealer not to install the FRONT plate...

Rear Bracket

That's the bracket (#4) but you still need the 2 screws to mount it to the lid and 2-4 screws to attach plate. I'd ask the dealer for one, it comes with the car.

I am going to do that otherwise I will just order #4 plus all those screws but for now double sided tape.

Yeah no luck at auto parts store and I did mention to the dealer don't do the front but they just left the car completely untouched with I really do appreciate but damn I did not realize the back would not have a bracket. Oh well I am leaving now to pick the car up from Detailers Domain in NJ. The photos he took for me should be interesting, he told me apparently the tint shopped mangled the shadow line trim around the windows (cut the tint on the outside of the damn car with razor blades) and took alllll day for the detailer to get almost all the scratches totally out.

Will have a new thread an full write up when I get it.

Got the car, actually the photo I posted above was the day it arrived from dealer, turns out the back plate holder was installed. I did not realize it so that is good now just need to find the right size scews (holes are small) ..the screws from the autopart store were too fat.

The factory screws are metric, M5 x 8mm. If you intend to install a license plate frame, you will need M5 x 10mm screws. Please note, The M5 x 10 screws are too long if you use them with the license plate only. They will cut through the plastic backing on the plate holder and push into your paint.

I'm using M5 x 8mm stainless steel button top allen screws. They are a bit fancier and they can be found on ebay.

That's great D. That's the reason I wanted a place that does everything, because when the car changes hands for different things, stuff like that happens. Not saying it can't happen at an all in one shop, but at least you can catch it earlier. Congrats again on your car bro. I can't wait for mine.

Found some screws in my garage. Fit like a glove. Will eventually go buy ones that don't rust.
