Is $ 500 over invoice a steal on a new M3

It depends, does the buy price reflect any incentives? If price before incentives, I would say it is a very good price but not a steal.

Thanks for the timely pricing comments!! The $500 over invoice does not include any of the incentives as they will have already expired by the time I take delivery in January. Hopefully BMW will extend them. Any history to support same.

The current Holiday credit can be locked for (I believe) up to 60 days, certainly 30. You will need to submit a credit application to BMW Financial. I would recommend going through your dealer vs. the BMW website. If paying cash or financing through another institution, the Holiday credit wouldn't apply. However, loyalty and/or BMW Apps could be options. Search the "Ask a Dealer" forum for further info.

I just negotiated a deal for $3,250 below invoice inclusive of all incentives. $1,000 for corporate fleet discount and $2,250 of BMWFS incentives. Black/black, DCT, competition, premium, etc. MSRP around $76k, sell price around $67k. Giving me $40k for my silver/black '08 E93 6MT with 20k miles.

Have not pulled trigger yet but probably will. Seems to me like a pretty good deal.

Rob, that's an excellent deal. Congrats, should you move forward with the order.

Curious, why the switch from MT to DCT? Also, your existing car, Silverstone? Do you like it or just need a change?

Looking for a change to tranny, color and body style. Love Silverstone, just tired of silver/gray in general. I have gray A8 which doesn't help.

Also, did not have the top down as much as I thought I would. Of course getting all of the other updates (iDrive improvements, etc.), four years of warranty and competition package are other reasons.

I drove the DCT coupe today and I liked it quite a bit more than my MT convertible. Noticeable difference in how the coupe felt, which didn't surprise me. Much better than the SMG I had in my '07 M5. I was worried the DCT would be too boring but I was wrong.

So yeah, I'm going through with it. Hopefully get this wrapped up before the weekend.

Good to hear. I just agreed to a deal for a M3 coupe via PCD in May. I was back-n-forth on the MT vs. DCT but am leaning toward DCT. Color was the other touch decision. For me, it's between Silverstone and Interlagos. Just no black, dark grey, etc. Been there done that.

Congrats!
