Success! Umnitza LED Angel Eyes Installed!

I've been wanting to change the stock yellow angel eyes out for a month and I finàlly built up the courage to cut open my headlights and it was well worth it! As u can imagine, a lot of swearing went on throughout the process! It took about 3 hours per light to complete, possibly 4. I'm in the process of going through my pics but here is the installed pic, also blacked out the corners and cleaned the inside!

Looks good!! But how teh hell did it take that long?? Pre '06 should be 45 minutes tops.

Nvm, I see you installed the LED rings. Why do that instead of just changing the bulbs to led?

Yes the bumper was removed, headlights needed to be removed and cut open. 45min? These perma seals do not like to open! These are WAY better than the little bulbs you can buy, you can see these coming from a distance on a bright sunny day!

Looks good but sorry to say the MTEC v3 are super bright and plug and play.

Part number for the led halo rings please? I did a customer of mind but I used the oracle halo rings and they where $200 a set.

Can you put link. Is there manual included? How hard was it to swap rings and connect everything? Umniza, can u guys come up with something that is going to make rings light up as DRL

There is a guide we're working on - it shows how to cut the headlights open, remove the rings, and install new ones.

We have a video on the site that goes over it a little in some minor detail.

As far as DRL, we already have that information with our harness, you can enable them as DRL, however you will most likely get an error message on the dash.

I might just stick with oracle they have remote that does multi-color display and dimming that are twice as bright and cleaner then those for $159 with a lot more leds. Those here don't seem to be much brighter then the mtec bulb.

I'm going to get blasted by saying this but it needs to be said.

Oracle LED are crap. Period. End of Story. they are exposed SMD LED with poor solder points that have bad resistors on them. The multi-color units they sell are equally faulty with bad solder points.

We've been asked at least 4 different times in the last 3 years to use their factory for our products and we decline. They are improperly made with poor quality control. They charge a ridiculous amount and give you "free" replacements, the reason that they do this is that they overcharge on the front side, and make a ridiculous profit so they can "free" give you replacements.

We choose to charge as normal profit on an item and not worry about if it will fail.
The Orion V2 for $159 are the most reliable and easy to deal with product there is. it's an encapsulated ring.

Orion Multi-Color is also available - it's also encapsulated, not exposed with proper angel eyes controller to manage the colors. It doesn't fail like the Oracle based product and looks factory.

Orion V4 looks like the newest angel eyes - no gaps, only brighter and costs $269.

We offer a lifetime warranty with those products, but you'll never need to use them and this is important when you are cutting your headlights. no one wants to cut headlights 2X times.

Sorry to go on a rant.

oh, one more thing, if you set our Orion V2 against the Oracle in a daytime test comparo, we're going to be 3X brighter. Forget photos, do a real world test.

Whoa! pissed in someone coffee. I get wholesale pricing from them and my customer never had a problem and they was installed behind the factory rings so there is no exposure. Thanks for the great info and I'll offer both to my customers with no suggesting one over the other and let them be the judge.

I am opening my headlights to restore them, at the same time I want to upgrade the Angel eyes to V4's. Did you remove the original eyes? Where did you get power from? Do they through an error? How are they attached? Do you use the nigh time remote?

You usually remove the originals.
Your power comes from the same power as the originals.
No errors.
They are glued or soldered in.
most people don't wire the night remote.

Ive done hours of research and finally found it!!!!
Very interested in these rings but a lil shaken by the breaking into the headlight part but im up to it!

A bit off topic but Los2much can you make a new post about your headlights with pictures? i am curious to see how they look close up and also how they look with the headlights on. i had a local shop in texas open up my headlights, paint everything black, add another projector and change out the led rings. my car isn't complete yet but i'll post some pics when it is.
