If I just bought my d on Friday (the 7th). Would they have already fixed that, or would that have been to soon for it to get fixed?

They would have already done it. iIRC, it is a violation of federal law to sell a car with an open recall.

There is a stop sale/delivery on any car that has not been fixed so if you got yours, it should be fine.

Oh I did NOT mean to say the dealers would willfully do something wrong like that... I was wondering if they would be unknowingly replacing the bolts with ones they already have in stock and that were defective. But, if the bolts in question are just not torqued enough and not defective otherwise, then it's a moot point. For the record, I think dealers have a few shortcomings (ignorant employees and the like) but I also don't think any BMW dealer would knowingly put a defective part in our cars.
