Delivery Day...???
I saw someone post this picture a while back... and I thought it was hilarious and a good idea at the same time.
I really do not want anyone sitting in my car without the plastic being on the seat... or at least until I can see the car, inspect it, and then remove it myself. Is it usual for someone to request this from their CA? Also, is it really that bad of an idea to have the dealership detail the car before I see it, or should I inspect it, and just pick it up and do it myself...? What other things do I need to do on delivery day? Thanks for your help!

My advice to you:
Let your BMW dealer do everything while you sit in the lounge eating their yogurt and drinking sparkling water. They are used to dealing with $200,000 luxury cars and will treat your car right. You've also purchased a color that is not prone to showing surface-wear so you really have nothing to worry about. Enjoy! BJ

I was thinking of trying to find out what sort of equipment my dealer uses to detail cars, and even though I'm leasing, if they use circular buffers, I may pass on the exterior detail. Probably dumb, but I really hate swirl marks.
