ZHP headliner issues

Well.. not technically the headliner..

The fabric on the inside of my C-pillars is coming loose.... next to the rear window, on both sides.. (ZHP coupe)

Anyone else had the problem, and what did you do?

Thanks!

"mouse fur" seems to be relate to the furry weather stripping around the windows...

This is the C-pillar... same fabric as the headliner.... Not related to the windows that go up and down.. Next to the back glass..

Thanks, though..

a-pillar, b-pillar, c-pillar... same material. a-pillars do this most often and can be repaired or replaced if you have the budget. i bet if you search on a-pillar fabric you'll find some DIYs. I know Smolck fixed his once.

My 2005 ci and a friend's 2003 M3 have this problem... same part.

On my 2003 I just stripped of off since it was hanging in tatters. A B and C pillars, actually. If I recall correctly underneath the fabric was a dark black fabric of some kind anyways, so it was no biggie.

Can you see anything under the fabric like that?

Thanks for the suggestions... I did search and find the C-pillar discussion where Smolck fixed his own...

Pelican Parts sells them for around $65 each... but, it's hard to tell if any of the parts they list is ZHP anthracite specific..

The C-pillars look easy to swap out, so I may try the glue stick thing first.. and, if that doesn't work, just buy them from the dealer.. Who would have guessed that something like that would pop off and come pre-wrapped?

regards,
kyfdx

Okay.. Found the part numbers (assuming black is the correct color for ZHP).. Local dealer has them fairly cheap, online ($37 each)..

So, do I need any clips or screws? Looked at the diagram on realoem, but couldn't tell if I needed those, or not... Does it just pop off and back on?
If so, is there any tips to keep from breaking off any plastic pieces?

This is for the C-Pillar covers on the coupe...

Thanks again!

The ZHP should have a black headliner and pillars. 51432699059 is the left, and 51432699060 is the right. I have them available HERE.

Yup. It looks like this. Just be careful not to over do it. Spray on too much and it can bleed through the fabric. As always, less is more.

I suck at that kind of stuff, to be frank.. (painting, gluing, etc...)

But, once I take them off, I'll take a look at it, and see... or, maybe give my teenager a shot at it... ;-

If not, $80 isn't bad for the two of them..

Any tips for removal or installation, to avoid breaking anything?

regards,
kyfdx

Really nice wagon, by the way..

Did it come with sport package, or did you just upgrade the wheels?

Thanks. It has ZSP (sport package) so those are the original wheels. I keep thinking about replacing them, but I think they do look appropriate, so I figure the money can be better spent elsewhere, like on the suspension overhaul I think I'm going to need this spring.
