Angry Still have p0741 code after changing torque converter please help!!

I have a 2002 530i that I bought for cheap ($5500) because the previous owner didn’t want to deal with the P0741 torque converter issue. For the first 6-9 months I did not have any of the symptoms that I have read from other posts on this board, only the code popping up every few weeks. I have driven it this way for about a year (20k miles) and it got to the point that I was starting to feel the surging of the converter and if failing to lock up. During the last year I have read hundreds of threads on this topic and prepared myself for doing the job myself. I run a machine shop in Sothern CA and have rebuilt motors and replaced transmissions in other cars I have owned, but never a BMW. This past weekend I jumped in head first and ripped out the trans and had all of the new parts to do the job. I bought a rebuilt torque converter from Torco Enterprise in Commerce CA which I got from one of the other boards that have found info on. I dropped the pan and cleaned the magnets and looked everything over to see if anything looked out of the norm for an auto trans, but it was surprisingly clean inside. I got the new TC in and reinstalled the trans, followed the ZF procedure for filling to the correct oil level and all was good. The car was shifting great and the RPM's are now back down to 2650-2700 at 80mph when on flat ground. I drove the car for two days with no issues, but on the third day I got the F*****g P0741 code again. Other than the code the car runs great, but now I am stumped on what to do next to get rid of P0741 code. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Did the code go away upon reinstallation of the transmission or did you erase it? Have you tried erasing the code once it popped up again?

Is yours a GT-1 or similar scanner? Regular OBDII scanners cannot clear BMW tranny codes.

Did you change the solenoid valve? I have a P0741 code on my 01 530 but the car shifts fine. I am getting it diagnosed today. My code popped up after having another code come on for a VANOS solenoid. The reputable shop I am taking it to said BMWs are very finnicky with electronics and can set off other codes even if said part was functioning properly.

i just cleared the code to see if it comes back on the 4th drive cycle. Then I may take it to bmw to see if GT-1 can determine if it is the solenoid, the torque converter seal, or something else. Do you know the part number for the solenoid or what diagram to look in on a 2003 530i?

I took it in but the shop said they couldnt do the diagnosis becuase I cleared the CEL I will go to a BMW specialized shop that is close by soon BUT for the mean time I am going to drain/fill with new fluid and replace the filter, gasket and clean the pan and magnets. My code has not come on for many months and many miles doing highway trips too. P0741 is supposed to be triggered at speeds above 55-60mph so I dont know what is happening with my situation.

I did a 3rd ATF drain and fill and changed the filter. The cel has not come on in over 600 miles.
