Fueling problem fixed!!!!

So filling my car up at the pump is no longer an issue thanks to the information on bimmerfest! Today I had my Indy guy replace my Activated Charcoal Filter for Fuel Vapor System part # 16 13 7 167 538 which I ordered from bimmerspecialist.com for $300.00, and now the stopping of the fuel pump at $5 is a thing of the past! The shop charged me $135.50 (had to get the 50 cents lol) to replace the part. Here are some pics of the part below. I hope everyone who's had this problem has been able to get it fixed, I know how annoying it is!

Did not follow the previous thread on shutting off at $5. Do you mind to state that issue so that I can be on the watch for it?

Basically whenever I went to fill up my car, after about getting $5 worth of gas in, the pump handle would start stopping like the tank is full so I would stand there for about 7 minutes trying to fill up the car before I would eventually give up and only leave with about half a tank. It's EXTREMELY annoying! I guess after time the filter gets clogged and needs replacing so that's what I did and now she fills up perfectly. I hope this helped you!

The same as yours. He is driving an 07 750i. Weird that you both have the same issue.

Glad he got his problem resolved, and even happier he came back to let us know about it. Not enough of this on this forum.

Yeah like SAMADKINS29 said, our cars should be the same. Yours is just fancier with the
6 inches! If you're having the same problem I was having, this should definitley fix the issue. My Indy guy was suprised because he never had to replace this part and had no clue about BMWs having this problem. I would have never found the fix if it wasn't for tthis forum! Good luck man!

Thanks man! Good to know that helping members out is being noticed. When I originally posted this, I was surprised nobody replied saying it helped being that when I was originally doing my research, alot of people had this problem. Minus the verbal fights and unnecessary crap people throw out on people, this forum is pretty damn awesome!
